Do you have your place at the table?

Celebrate locally-sourced food and drink at Carolina Raptor Center’s “Talon to Table.”  This event emphasizes the importance of sustainable actions and local food to support a healthy ecosystem, of which raptors are an important part. Engage with other members of the environmental community for an evening of fun and philanthropy.

This is not your typical gala—the attire is farm chic (picture a nice pair of boots, sun dresses for the ladies and dressy jeans for the gents) in a sophisticated new event space about 15 minutes north of Uptown Charlotte. Talon to Table encourages intimate conversation over a family-style dinner paired with Carolina beer, wine & spirits. This year’s food and décor will be themed “South by Southwest,” combining in the spicy flavors of the Southwest with our Southern roots.

The Opening Reception will feature a signature cocktail, delicious hors d’oeuvres, and a nose-to-beak raptor encounter with the CRC Flight Team. The reception starts promptly at 6:00pm, and all are invited to attend.
Photographer Traer Scott will be on hand to sign her new book “Raptors” featuring portraits of many of CRC’s resident birds. She will also discuss how birds and other animals have inspired her art and writing over the years.

All proceeds will benefit Carolina Raptor Center’s Annual Fund, which every year helps CRC treat around 1,000 injured and/or orphaned raptors, provide 25,000+ students with affordable formal STEM education programs, and engage more than 550,000 others through informal educational experiences like walking our 0.75-mile Raptor Trail, engaging in a Raptor Encounters and viewing on-line Keeper Talks.
