Meet the On-Air Personalities

BullBull

Bull started his radio career at WCMF in Rochester, where he interned with Larry Norton. In 1997, he moved to Buffalo and worked at 103.3 The Edge and as the pre/post game host and sideline reporter for the Buffalo Bills. He joined the 97 Rock Morning show in 2015. He is currently involved with many local charities, and loves Buffalo for the people, food, and progressive, forward-thinking energetic vibe.

His wish: to sing “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” at Wrigley Field.

Rob LedermanRob Lederman

Rob has been part of the 97 Rock Morning show since 1991. Rob has been on location somewhere in WNY collecting for the Make A Wish Radio-a-thon since the very first one. In addition to acting as the comic relief on 97 Rock, he is also the owner of Rob's Comedy Playhouse. Opening in 1987, Rob's Comedy Playhouse is one of the longest running comedy clubs in the country. Rob recently taped his 5000th Show with the proceeds benefiting Camp Good Days

His wish: for the world to be more compassionate.

Chris KleinChris Klein

Chris was born in Buffalo and spent all but a couple years of her life here. She started at the station as a traffic reporter then became a part of the 97 Rock Morning show since 1999.

Her wish: that someone soon finds a cure for cancer. On a more personal side: she’d love to hang out and have a drink with Will Ferrell.

JPJohn “JP” Piccillo

JP has been in the Buffalo radio market for 41 years, as a program/music director at various stations in the area. He has spent the last 21 years with 97 Rock, the favorite years of his long career. His show is called "The Workday Show, with JP"  providing the soundtrack to the workday for thousands of WNY'ers. He plays the 12 O'Clock Beatle Block and a daily "lesson" is given at 11 each morning in the "College of 97 Rock Knowledge."  For the past 10 years, he has also been the public address announcer for the Buffalo Bills.

His wish: that we wouldn't have to even grant these wishes and that all children would lead
healthy lives.

JicksterDave “Jickster”

Jickster has been working in the Western New York radio scene since 1998. For the last 10 years, he served as Marketing/Promotions Director and a personality for 97 Rock (WGRF/96.9). He has been a regular contributor for the “Norton in the Morning Show” as well as the “Morning Bull Show” and serves as 97 Rock’s “concert correspondent” broadcasting live from all major Western New York concert events. He won the national “Linchpin” award in 2010 from Jacob’s Media, which honors a radio street team member who has earned their own brand of MVP status for hard work and incalculable contributions to that station.

His wish: that the Bills and the Sabres would both win championships.

Carl RussoCarl Russo

Carl Russo is a legendary DJ at 97 Rock. Carl will be inducted into the Buffalo Broadcast Hall of Fame in a few weeks. He is a graduate of Lafayette High School. Russo now makes his home in West Seneca. When he isn't riding his motorcycle or racing cars, he is putting out fires...literally ... Carl is a volunteer firefighter. He enjoys camping, playing the banjo (which you can hear on the southern fix at 6) and is a staple at the Erie County Fair!

Slick Tom TiberiSlick Tom Tiberi

Tom is on his fourth stint at 97 Rock, his first being in 1982. “Every time I think I'm out, they pull me back in!” he says. His show, the Open Bar, is interactive, a talk show with music and requests all rolled into one.

His wish: For the Bills to win a Super Bowl before I leave this dimension.
