20” x 24” framed. Oil on canvas.
A descendant of the renowned painter Edward Hicks (best known for his work Peaceable Kingdom), Christopher Willett has built a reputation for himself as a painter working in the Pennsylvania Impressionist style that stands entirely apart from that of his famous relative. Willett works in the mediums of oil on board or canvas, as well as watercolor. His recent work has been compared to that of Edward Redfield, and he succinctly captures the landscape and daily lives of the people that live and have lived in this locale.
