Guests of Honor Barry Koff (LEFT) and Tariq Khan (RIGHT) Team up with Geraldo Rivera

Tariq Khan and Barry Koff have played together in the “Geraldo” for the past five years!  Together, they will be the ‘18 guests of honor. 

Tariq Khan of Hewlett Harbor is a member of the Board of Life’s WORC/The Family Center For Autism.  Mr. Khan, who arrived from Pakistan as an immigrant to America with $300 in his pocket, has earned prominence as a community leader on Long Island, and respect among his peers in business.  For many years, Mr. Khan developed enterprises in the Long Island/NYC region in grocery and convenience stores.  He owns/operates several Long Island convenience/fuel retail locations.  Mr. Khan is also engaged in regional commercial real estate and property management.  He is active in a number of trade, industry, and charitable organizations which includes Board membership on Island Harvest for seventeen years.  He is also a Board member of Everything Special Needs, Inc., and the NYS Convenience Stores Association. He is a past Board member of the National Muscular Dystrophy Association.

In 2003, Mr. Khan was honored by the NYC Council as one of NYC’s most outstanding Pakistani-American citizens. In 2004, Mr. Khan was a NYC “Torch Bearer” for the U.S. Olympics.  Several times, Mr. Khan has rung the “opening/closing bells” for the NY Stock Exchange.

Comparable to his passion for entrepreneurship, Tariq Khan is passionate about golf.  He can be found many times a week at Lawrence Country Club where he is a member, or often attending the greater New York region’s many charity golf outings, where he is a generous contributor.  Mr. Khan and his wife, Senita, are parents of three children.

Barry Koff is a Long Beach resident whose family goes back three generations in that community.  A Syracuse University graduate, for many years, Barry Koff was known for owning/operating Long Beach’s C-Town Supermarket.  He is a corporate and real estate investor most recently as a founding investor of Planet Payment One (acquired), and as a founding investor of Bridgeworks (a Long Beach modern co-working facility).

Mr. Koff has been active in the South Shore community through his service as a past Board member, Vice President and Treasurer of the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce, and his Board of Directors membership at Lawrence Country Club.  Mr. Koff and his wife, Nancy are parents of two children.
