IMAGINE 2017, attended by nearly 300 guests and located under a beautiful tent with striking sunset views near Calf Pasture Beach, commemorated the 75 years of service the Agency has provided in the Fairfield County community. The 75th celebration event was also a call-to-action for attendees to look ahead and imagine ways to contribute to the evolving needs of the community, through their support of the Agency.

“In 1942, when FCA was founded, our focus was to help families who were coping with the stress of WWII. Today, more than 75 years later, our Agency is still thriving in Fairfield county and we have evolved and expanded to support the changing needs of local families,” said Robert Cashel, FCA President & CEO.

Guests learned about the Agency’s mission and outcomes and heard firsthand experiences from two current college students, who participated in ASPIRE, FCA’s after-school program for Norwalk middle and high school students, and are recipients of FCA’s Sullivan-Kindler College Scholarship.

“It’s amazing to follow the journey of these young women and hear their stories of growth and triumph, all thanks to the tools and resources they’ve gained from FCA,” said Lisa Lillie, FCA’s Chairman of the Board. “The positive footprint FCA is leaving in our community is not only inspiring, but transformative in the of lives children & families, youth, adults and seniors in the community in Norwalk, Fairfield County and beyond.”

The event, co-chaired by Wilton residents, Audrey Andrew and Maria Wilcox, raised more than $350,000 to support FCA programs and services and was attended by Norwalk Mayor & First Lady Harry and Lucia Rilling, Commissioner of Department of Children and Families, Joette Katz and Superior Court Judge Robert Genuario.

“We are truly grateful for all of our attendees for their generous support of FCA during this 75th anniversary celebration,” said Cashel.
