"Brumy" was carved from a pine tree that was salvaged from a gas pipeline that was being created years ago and now has perfect age patina. This was one of Evelyn Morgan’s, the artist, first significantly sized chainsaw-carved pieces. Inspired by the horses she grew up with, one in particular that loved to rear, she decided it was time to give Brumy a new home and donated this incredible piece to DEFHR for auction. This piece is as impressive as its subject—it stands 4.5 feet tall and is full of lifelike detail. It is the perfect piece of rustic art for the horse lover to have sit outside a stable or in your yard as a decorative piece.
Evelyn Morgren is based in Carol County Maryland and has been chain saw carving since 2011, quickly gaining notoriety for her detail and rustic flare. She loves her craft and was honored to have a piece that honors the horse that will now give back to the horse.
