Come join us–friends and supporters of THE WASHINGTON CHORUS and the FRENCH-AMERICAN CULTURAL FOUNDATION–as we celebrate the glory of springtime in Paris with magnificent French music at a gala party April 26 at La Maison Française, and a Kennedy Center concert May 1 featuring the greatest French choral music of the 20th century. Our featured artist, playing the powerful Rubenstein Family Organ, will be the renowned virtuoso
Thierry Escaich, organist of Saint-Étienne-du-Mont Church in Paris.
A PARISIAN SPRING GALA will celebrate notable transitions for The Washington Chorus and its partner in this event, the French-American Cultural Foundation. The Chorus will salute its remarkable executive director, Dianne Peterson, for her 30 years of leadership in American choral music, coming to a close at the end of this performance season. The Foundation will honor the distinguished Washington cultural benefactor Leonard Silverstein–who led it with distinction from its founding in 1998 until last year–and will introduce the Foundation’s new leaders and their vision for its future.
Funds raised will support the education and community programs of The Washington Chorus.
